Maintaining consistently high standards group-wide

This financial client provides investment solutions to individuals, institutions and multinational corporations. As part of a group contract, we cater for 4,600 customers at two Home Counties and one London office, where the demographic is very wide – from graduates to experienced board directors and fund managers.

When the company engaged us, it was looking for consistently high quality in products and service, and was keen to promote healthy eating among its employees. Our menus reflect this brief. In the Home Counties restaurants, we provide breakfast and lunch, including traditional bistro-style mains, salads and deli bar, homemade ‘grab and go’, and healthy snacks. In both locations, we’ve recently launched stand-alone artisan barista coffee bars, providing an additional all-day service.

Also, the client has a well-stocked vegetable garden. Our chefs liaise with the gardeners to ensure we can use the garden’s produce on the menus in the staff restaurant.

A strong partnership

We were awarded the group contract in 2014, but hospitality in the London site remained in-house. Based on the strength of the client relationship, we were able to guide the client towards outsourcing the London office as well – where we now provide working lunch hospitality and a contemporary and elegant fine dining service for the senior team and high-profile visitors. Their feedback says we have created an amazing client and guest experience.

We also coordinate free-issue and tea-point management at all sites. Our General Manager and Head Chef are responsible for all offices, ensuring consistency in our offer, tariff, marketing and service style.

“The catering team are always imaginative. We are spoilt for choice – but although I was thinking about frog legs, I never would have expected them, and there they were on Bastille Day. Wonderful!”
