Head Chef, Basingstoke (job ref 078)

Experienced head chef required to work at one of our busy sites in Basingstoke.
Working Mon-Fri, 7am start.  Salary £26 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

You will need to have previous similar experience and a proven effective track record, strong man management skills to lead and inspire the kitchen team. High standards of due diligence, ability to work to a strict budget, innovate and use the freshest seasonal ingredients to write and develop menus.
Great communication skills are needed as this is a very customer facing role and will require you to theatre cook in front of the customers.
You will need to have all the relevant qualifications to support your application.

Services offered on site are breakfast, lunch, deli and coffee bar long term, vending and extensive hospitality with some director's dinin. You will be working in the main building but there are a further 2 buiildings close by - numbers on site are around 700.

The catering operation is being re-fitted over the coming months and part of your initial role will be to ensure the deliverance of high standards through this transition-albeit it may be in temporary kitchens or on reduced services.
