03 August 2009: For the last year bartlett mitchell been working hard to develop some really fun food ‘Concepts’ to bring a new dimension to our menus. As an innovative foodie company, we've always been good at looking at the most popular food trends, and deciding how to make them into a real meal for our staff restaurants and coffee shops. Recently...
we've been making them into mini brands: our 'Concept Table' as we call it. These‘Concepts’ are stand-alone items to spruce up restaurant menus - and they’ve been going down a storm! We’ve created logos and point-of-sale goodies for these 'Concepts' - and together with the weekly promotional material at each site, they breathe new life into standard menu formats.
One of the most popular features of our bartlett mitchell 'Concept Table' is called Chow for Now. It’s the best, healthiest 'pot noodle' you'll ever try. In fact, it's quicker than a real Pot Noodle, and is based on the Japanese ramen that Wagamama and other fast-food Japanese restaurants have been pushing, and can range from standard chicken noodles to chilli beef or wonderful laksa-style coconut and peanut broths, complete with classic bamboo chopsticks and complete sluprability.
Just last week, we trialled the Chow for Now noodle in a Surrey-contract and the catering manager came back with some great feedback:
“Just thought you might want to know, that we did ‘Chow for Now’ last wed, & you were right. THEY LOVED IT... it went down a storm. Great feedback, big interest & they can’t wait for us to do it again... we had a good increase in sales that day, considering schools had broken up, & many people were on hols....”
