has re-launched this week with a complete design overhaul and new interactive features. I’ve found it to be a really user-friendly educational resource and it's great for many of our functions, in addition to the wonderful resource of Ian Mitchell, Chairman and True Wine Enthusiast at bartlett mitchell who doesn't half know his wines!

Think of it as an online community for wine drinkers with varying levels of expertise which encourages peer to peer recommendation.

When you visit the site you’re asked to rate and comment on wines you’ve enjoyed, as well as searching for wines recommended by other members. An interactive wine selector will allow us to find a wine by price, colour, style, country, region, grape, occasion and food match.  I really like the 3 minute wine school  section, that’s going to be really useful.

There is a series of short video tutorials that introduce some of the key wine producing regions and grape types, and provide instruction on how to successfully taste a wine. The “three minute wine school” aims to demystify wine and open it up to a wider audience.

I understand the site will also host competitions and special offers and will feature a brand new section with up-to-the minute information on current UKwine launches. Sommelier of the Year and Head Sommelier at Hotel Terravina, Laura Rhys, will also contribute to the site as a regular guest blogger.

Following the content update, www.lovethatwine.co.uk will embark on a marketing drive to support the site re-fresh. A full-scale PR campaign will be executed by lifestyle agency, Green Row Communications, to re-introduce the site to both trade and the consumer audiences. A new editorial, sales and events team has also been put in place.

Definitely worth a look.
