The “Silly Season” of Christmas lunches and parties is in full flow, indeed it’s the busiest time of year for many of us in the hospitality sector, whilst very busy – it’s equally great fun!

This year the bartlett mitchell directors have added to this fun and gone “Back to The Floor”, to support our teams throughout December with Christmas lunches. This gives us an opportunity to roll up our sleeves and serve our customers alongside our terrific bartlett mitchell teams. Being part of a wider team that share a passion for food and service makes me enormously proud.

We were delighted this year that all our Christmas gifts (delicious Christmas Puds) were meticulously made by our Apprentice Chefs, using a now not-so-secret recipe from Pete!

As we countdown the days to Christmas, our thoughts also turn to our own traditions and celebrations.  This year I’ve been kicked out of the kitchen, as we share Christmas Day with my Cousin (an ex-chef) and his family, his only request is that we supply cheese and wine! This has given my wife Nia and I a great excuse to “research” lots of cheeses and accompanying wines over recent weeks – we take our roles very seriously!
