bartlett mitchell's purchasing process has been built with long-term relationships and a win/win situation in mind.

We have completed a number of purchasing exercises with an independent purchasing consultant to ensure we get the very best value for our customers. Excellent terms have been agreed with all our suppliers and are based on working relationships built up since bartlett mitchell began. We now have a specific purchasing department, headed by Brian Wheatley, which ensures we provide and are provided with the services we require and are in the process of running out a complete e-procurement system for all suppliers.

Our team members are instructed to enter into a continuous dialogue with our suppliers to secure the best deals for our customers and provide the freshest, seasonal and, where possible, local ingredients

All our suppliers will be expected to provide specifications for all products we supply and satisfy us that the levels of hygiene and safety they employ meet government expectations

As part of our open book policy all our clients are free, at any time, to check our purchasing and accounting procedures to satisfy themselves that bartlett mitchell really do give them back the discounts which are rightfully theirs

We cherish our suppliers and recognise how important they are to our team, our customers and us

We are fully aware that bartlett mitchell's greatest environmental influence come from our suppliers and the products they supply. We have strict guidelines which our nominated suppliers must adhere to, in addition to a seasonality, provenance and ethical products which flavour our culture
