recruitment and selection policy
Our principle

From day one bartlett mitchell have held the opinion that their team are their most valuable asset and hold the key to their success. It is for this reason that bartlett mitchell have set important criteria around the employment of team members. (Whereas one bad apple won't spoil the whole bunch, it can certainly taint the flavour of the rest!)

Our recruitment protocol follows the following steps:

  • All interviewing is done by a trained member of the management team
  • Trade testing forms a fundamental part of the application process for chefs.
  • All team members are assessed as to their suitability for their positions
  • A bartlett mitchell application form must be completed and contain the following information:
• Name
• Address
• National insurance number
• Form of I.D / passport
• Bank details
• Medical declaration
  • Once these criteria have been satisfied then character and workplace references are sought.

Each new applicant will be informed in writing of the decision and, where appropriate be given a start date subject to proof of identification and suitable references.

bartlett mitchell is an equal opportunities employer.
