My earliest food memory is my mum’s homemade bread pudding served still warm with lots of sugar on the top.

Japanese casual foods are trending for me. I really like steamed Japanese buns with pulled duck and dressed ribbon vegetables.

My favourite place to eat is Sophia’s world, a restaurant in Spain near our apartment – but I like to go anywhere overlooking the sea, especially if there’s fresh shellfish. My most memorable meal was the Cost Sector Catering Awards, when our team of chefs made the first course.

My ideal dinner guests would be all the judges from Strictly Come Dancing: Len Goodman. Bruno Tonioli. Craig Revel Horwood and Darcey Bussell. They would be a great combination of characters, and the conversation (and dancing) would be lively.

Cookbook inspiration is The Hairy Dieters: How to Love Food and Lose Weight, as I am forever on a diet. Si King and Dave Myers are self-confessed food lovers, and say their books are for people like them who love food and not “skinny minnies”.

The three items I always keep in my fridge are fresh vegetables, cheese, and fresh herbs.
