My earliest food memories are eating pork chop, egg and chips with my Nan on Thursday evenings, and baking Welsh cakes with my mum.
Noodles, Vietnamese and Caribbean food are trending for me. I like going to local food markets and street-food outlets, so I can taste the new and exciting dishes, and the twists on old favourites.
My favourite places to eat are the local gastro pubs in my area around Twickenham, all offering great food in a relaxed atmosphere. The ones I go to most are theTW2, Brouge at The Old Goat (a Belgian and British gastro pub), Alba and St Margarets Tavern.
My most memorable meal is my husband’s jerk chicken, with rice and peas. Ideal dinner guests would be Martin Luther King, Victoria Wood, Nelson Mandela, my parents, my husband, and best friends.
With cookbooks, I find inspiration in anything written by Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson or Yotam Ottolenghi. My most recent buy is Ottolenghi’s new book NOPI, which has great recipes from his Soho restaurant.
Three items I always keep in my fridge are wine, fresh vegetables and butter.
