The way we work in teams has changed. Maintaining and enhancing employee engagement has never been so vital. That crucial social interaction is now missing from our working day. I have missed the spontaneous chats with colleagues at the water cooler. And the camaraderie of working to the wire on a tender deadline, over a late-night pizza! Being part of a team that gets on well makes the job a lot more fruitful. It improves everyone’s mood too. But it is easy, whilst we are working apart, to feel distant and disconnected.

Tailored virtual events

Our creative team has responded by creating a range of virtual foodie events. They bring teams together even though the lockdown is, metaphysically speaking, forcing us apart. Over the past nine months, our Amuse Bouche events have gained momentum. Clients love that their boxes can be tailored to their exact requirements. And each event invokes a sense of fun; uniting teams and bolstering client relationships.

From wine tastings to kombucha making, cookery masterclasses to mixology: our events have inspired. It’s infectious to see the smiles on faces when guests learn something new. Each activity is designed to bring teams together and boost morale. Kat Winfield, Venue Manager of British Medical Association remarked, “The Amuse Bouche Box experience gives a feeling of interaction and networking. They add some structure to a team building event, with a purpose to the occasion. You get a good sense of involving everyone and also learn something you might not consider”.

Enhancing your employee brand

The pandemic has encouraged firms to recognise the importance of fostering comradeship at work. This creates a competitive advantage for attracting and retaining employees. To be productive, teams must be engaged and enjoy higher levels of well-being. Amuse Bouche events embrace well-being and engagement because the two are linked, even symbiotic. Emma Ford, Client Services Manager at Simmons & Simmons LLP recognises the importance of attracting and retaining the best talent and said,

“Amuse Bouche Box virtual events are a real tonic at such a difficult time. They are a mood and morale booster and a great way to get people together and have some fun! Everyone has an element of zoom and quiz fatigue, so these events are an alternative way to bring teams together and learn something new”.

Sharing food has brought people together since the beginning of time. The emotions that come from enjoying good food are universal. Our culinary team, led by Chef Director, Pete Redman thinks outside the box to source the finest artisan ingredients. Every guest receives a little box of pure foodie joy. Devrim Kahramanoglu, Director of Operations at Uncommon said, “Food and drink have always been the main ingredient to create a special occasion and bring people together.” The Amuse Bouche team were proud of the feedback received from their recent broker event. “The events were delivered with finesse. Beautifully packaged sumptuous food hampers paired with a fine selection of wine and coupled with genuine warmth of hospitality”

In a restaurant ‘Amuse Bouche’ means an appetiser of what is to come. We believe that better days will come when offices and restaurants reopen up their doors. In the meantime, our purpose is to help you maintain a sense of company culture. Our Amuse Bouche Box events encourage team spirit, foster relationships and build resilience through innovative food and fun interaction.
